BRIEF
The existing single-storey dwelling was transformed and renovated to suit modern living needs. The simple architectural form and basic construction principles respond to the site and urbanistic rules. Even the little creek next door, part of the city & waterway system, impacted the original layout due to setback restrictions. The expansive roof line connects the liveable spaces inside and out. The variety of warm timbers wraps around the whole house, adding an invitation to the dreamy summer backyard.
